Books

My best source is my public library where I can download ebooks. But lately I’ve been reading a lot of non-fiction that I’ve bought used. Better World Books is a favorite place.

TheStoryGraph is where I keep log what I read and find books as well. This is the page with my stats and graphs. There’s a selection for year and month and clicking on the graphs brings up the list of books of that type.

Trade Used Books with PaperBack Swap (the world’s largest Book Club) This is where I have unloaded books I didn’t want to keep and even got a few to read. I have a lot of credits to spend there.

Open Library Great source for information and books. These are scanned books in pdf. Some are available to read online or download for 14 days. It’s a source for some hard to find books.

Personal Growth

What a Shrink Thinks is a place I spend quite a lot of time. I’ve taken a few workshops, attended some discussions, and read a whole lot of essays. I find Martha Crawford’s thinking and generosity in her work inspirational and helpful. It’s hard to believe this is a one-person website!

Khan Academy - Free Online Courses, Lessons & Practice This was a great source for learning a variety of things back before I got caught up in other things. I still support them, because they are doing a great service.
