Current status:

  • I think it would be really helpful if I did these updates more often. Maybe 2 months instead of 4. Maybe take notes?
  • The experiment with Bash scripting was fun and showed me that I really don’t want to spend more time learning it. I am continuing to use Vim, though. That is now my default CLI text editor. Learning the vi Editor 4th Edition by Linda Lamb was a great help. I used that edition because I got it for free. As I began reading the book I stopped and first watched “Vim Tutorial for Beginners”. Then I went back to the book and could breeze through the first part of it.
  • I made a page on the programs I use. Musikcube, Vim, Newsboat, and Ranger are my newest ones.
  • I ate way too much salmon for a few years. I think there were side-effects. I’ll write about that eventually.

    • “Hunger for Wholeness”: My interest in Teilhard de Chardin got me into this one. Ilia Delio, a Franciscan sister, hosts it. The last one I listened to was with an astronomer. Delio started her career life as a scientist and she has not lost that interest. She’s a big fan of Teilhard de Chardin.
